- Tips:
Use the fraction fringe shape to show the relationship of any parts to their whole, such a fractions and measurements (cups, pints, quarts, gallons).
- Instructions:
- Cut enough fraction fringe different-colored parts so each student has his or her own set. Cutting in different colors makes it easier for students to see different parts.
- Stack pieces together with whole at bottom and sixteenth sample at top.
- Staple "booklet" at top.
- Students mark different measurements and labels on each piece as they learn.
