Spring Words Basket

If your next vocabulary lesson includes words about spring, use AccuCut dies to cut cute shaped flashcards that capture students' interest: eggs, chicks and flowers. Tuck them all into a die-cut basket for safekeeping. It's fast and easy to make a set for each child.

- Tips:
Make a learning center activity by labeling baskets with vowel sounds and having students sort words into the correct baskets.
- Instructions:
- Cut brown basket and bag. Outline basket with black marker or let student decorate. Assemble bag and cut off handles. Adhere bag to back of basket.
- Print student's name on purple construction paper. Use tag die to cut tag with name in center. Tie to basket handle with purple yarn.
- Cut spring shapes in spring colors and allow students to decorate. Adhere letter stickers to shapes to spell spring words.
- Place shapes into bag.
To learn: Use as flashcards. One person draws a shape from the bag and says the word. The other student spells the word aloud.
