Adventurous, colorful shapes decorate the sides of this cool water bottle holder. Use for Truth Trek VBS, or match the theme of any study unit by changing the shapes.

  • Polyfoam -- Brown, Tan, Bright Colors

  • 1/8" Hole Punch
  • Twine
  • Decorative Scissors
  • Glue or Double-Stick Tape
Tips:

Cut the same water bottle holder from plastic, vinyl or leather.
Instructions:
  1. Measure around bottle and from top to bottom. Using these measurements, cut tan polyfoam rectangle.
  2. Cut two brown 1"-wide foam strips in length to match top and bottom of rectangle. Trim one edge of each strip with decorative scissors. Write wording on one strip. Adhere strips to top and bottom of rectangle.
  3. Cut colored mini shapes. Add details with black marker. Glue to rectangle between strips.
  4. Punch holes 1/2" apart through centers of brown strips on rectangle.
  5. Cut two 72" lengths of twine. Lace through holes of brown strips. Leave same length of twine on each end of brown strips. Knot ends together forming tube.
  6. Tie twine ends up and around bottle, creating a handle and a criss-cross bottom to hold bottle in place. Knot to top and bottom lengths of twine to stabilize.
