Lay die flat inside tray with FOAM SIDE UP. Place material to be cut on top of die, desired side down. HINT: If shape has straight edges (ie, square), angle die slightly in tray.
Push die and tray until die meets roller. Turn handle in the direction you want die to go. If needed, continue pushing until roller grabs die. Roll die and tray through machine.
Remove die cuts and extra material. Place new material on top of die and roll through the machine in opposite direction.

Overall Rating I have used my Mark IV many times in the last several years. Making posters for my children's schools, advertising for community bake sales, card making, the applications are endless.
The machine itself is sturdy and heavy so it doesn't move around at all while you are cutting.(Posted on 1/13/13)

Overall Rating This machine is GREAT! I use it often to cut goodie bags for my large crops! All kinds of scrapbook goodies will fit in those...ribbon, brads, buttons, flowers ect. Of course it is also great for your everyday die cuts. I have had this machine for over 2 years and have not yet needed to replace the roller or tray.

Overall Rating I have had (and still own) my Mark IV for many, many years and it's been very well used. The rollers and tray have been replaced and I have spares at hand should I need it since you don't need cutting mats with this machine. Taking up to Super Jumbo dies, the Mark IV will cover most of your needs.
Like the GrandeMark it's really easy to use, no strain on the arms/shoulder and has a much smaller footprint than the GM. If you haven't room for a GM on your worktop and don't use or won't need to use giant dies, then this really is a perfect alternative.
I have a GM now too, but I'm still not getting rid of my Mark IV!(Posted on 4/14/12)
