A must for albums. I always cover up my chipboard with card stock so the color/texture doesn't have to be perfect.

Currently I have been doing a lot of albums and after seeing how crisp this chipboard came cut out - right out of the die with no "trimming" in spots, I knew I would be placing an order.
Of course, one side is bit smoother than the other but I always check and put the smoother side to the front in my projects and the side that is more raw to the back . It really doesn't matter as I cover both sides in my albums anyway but I have found that this way my die cuts are always crisp when cutting - at least in my experience so far.
This weight is ideal for my purposes and if I need a sturdier weight, there is a heavier weight available also to order.
It is acid free so that is an added bonus to the already good price!
Since I have been making a lot of family albums, I want to make sure that they last as long as they can, as inexpensively as I can.

I started my chipboard album yesterday, soooo happy with the weight of this chipboard, very sturdy, the machine cut it out beautifully, will definitely be buying my chipboard from accucut, the best I have ever purchased & you can't beat the price!

Arrived well packaged and in good shape as has always been my experience with your products. I like this chipboard and have no problems with using my accucut dies to cut it.

This chipboard is fine for my classes when making books and things. It does have a grain so keep this in mind. Trouble cutting sometimes- not sure why-

I really like the .057 for album covers and the .030 for album pages & embellishments.
I only gave it 3 stars because (tho a couple of years ago), my last two orders were SEVERELY warped and no matter what I did it was futile and I was very disappointed. Now I only buy chipboard if I can see it first.

This chip board is no longer a nice smooth kraft chip board. The surface is a raw chipboard.

I've never found any chipboard that's as thick and sturdy and can be purchased in bulk as Accucut's Heavyweight chip! Like all paper products, it's more pliable/bendable in one direction, so be sure to line up the sturdier grain in the direction you want your item to be the strongest. For example, if I'm making a long, narrow book, I line up the sturdier grain lengthwise along the die so the book will not bend in the middle. Note that it is a little more difficult to cut with some Sizzix dies, and cannot be used with tiny metal dies such as Nestabilities or Papertrey Ink dies.
It's the best!!
